Let's try this again.
I'm shocked, to say the least, at the weight I put on over the past year in Ghana. Who would have thought?
But now, after being home in Canada for nearly six weeks, it's time to get serious. I'm not getting any younger and if I continue to grow, my health will definitely start to suffer.
And it already has. It actually hurts to walk. Seriously. And to that I say BULLSHIT. And no more.
So it begins anew. Diet first. Less intake, less calories, less beer. Once I get 10-20 lbs off, the exercise begins. Walking first. Then drop ins to the gym? And if it warms up: cycling.
After discovering that I weighted about 250 lbs while in Ghana in the fall... I decided to step on Don and Linda's scale. The bad news?
119.9 KG or 264.33 LBs.
It's the beginning, not the end. And I have every confidence that the numbers will begin to drop. Slowly at first. Then faster as I get more active.
I suppose I should set a goal. Hmmm.
How about 260 by Feb 1. (tough!) And then:
Mar 1 - 250
April 1- 240
April 26* - 230
That's 34 pounds in 3 months. That should be doable... and even a portion is better than none.
Away we go...
